"Contact Front!!" group buy NFM Heidrun

I get a lot of question concerning the availability of the NFM HEIDRUN chestrig. Well, at the moment its a one of a kind chestrig in BE camo. But thats about to change :-)

"Contact Front!!" is organising a group buy of the Heidrun chestrig and some additional pouches.

For those who didn't quite follow this blog, here's what we are talking about.

The group buy will consist out of the following items:

http://www.nfm.no/HEIDRUN-chest-rig.html
http://www.nfm.no/Assault-rifle-mag-stacks.html
http://www.nfm.no/Utility-pouches/ZIP-Utility-Pouch.html

Off course, you don't need to buy the whole kit. Ordering multiple items is also no problem at all.

Please don't ask about prices about other NFM gear you want to order in BE camo. We don't just have the time to organize personal invoices and requests. The combination of this chestrig was chosen by myself and I can assure you, it works. And this without compromising on functionality and load bearing capacity. It’s still is a chestrig, right?

If you are interested, please drop a mail at contact.front.blog(at)gmail.com
I will then forward you the payment instructions and when paid, and only then, the order will be placed. Delivery can take up to 6 weeks.

I want to close the group buy on the 5th of May.

Additional IR patches

The response to the IR patches has been overwhelming.
Due to high demand I added some new designs. Custom made patches are also available.

Custom IR "Call Sign" patches

OMG!

Luckily,  I haven't seen this before on the range. But I'm certain, one day ....

Gear stand

A while ago I saw a photo on the net of a wooden gearstand, easy to make and looked quite cool. Looked like a nice DIY project ;-)

Trying to retrieve the photo I came across the Immenent Threat Solution website which had a article on the stand. http://www.itstactical.com/intellicom/diy/how-to-build-a-tactical-gear-stand/
I based my project on the article and went shopping for some timber and iron.
So what did I need: (length in cm)
One 120 long 9 x 9 post
Two 60 long 2,5 x 9 posts
Four 45 long 3 x 5,5 posts
20 deckscrews 10 long
20 washers

All the wooden post were standard sizes of 240 cm long and total price was about 40€. Nevertheless you have enough to make two stands. (Sometimes a necessity with all the gear lying arround ;-))

And this is the result:

Belgian infrared patches

Infrared patches! Their everywhere! Being coalition forces in Afghanistan or French troops currently deployed in Mali, you can't miss them on the thousands of photos circling the internet.

Used to ID friendly forces at night through the means of night vision equipment and restrict blue on blue incidents they come in all kind of shapes being square, round with a certain silhouette or text or just depicting the soldiers nationality by its flag.

Finding Belgian IR patches is another thing. They are probably non existing … until I decided to produce some of my own.

Size = 7,5x5cm
They have a retroreflective surface for nighttime reflection under normal and IR light and fitted out with a hard sided velcro backing.

Interested? Just give me shout ;-)

Firts batch of "Pirate tees" arrived!

Yesterday the firts test batch of "Pirate tees" arrived and are looking great! Great quality of print and T-shirt. Also check out the "Keep calm and hunt pirates" T-shirt for kids supporting their mom or dad.

Contact-front designed T-shirts!

For a while now I have been having some great ideas on cool T-shirts. Today I finally took the step to design them and put them online for purchasing.

More to come ;-)

If you have any suggestions on colours, logos, just give us a shoot.

An then, there was green ..

Thanks to our friend, Mike from Orca Industries, we got hold of the FN awesome patch in OD. In one of our previous posts Mike made some desert version but on the standard Belgian woodland gear it didn't quite fit in. So after the suggestion to make some in OD, here's the result.

Thanks Mike!

Night time Force Protection

The following video was taken on board the Belgian fregat F930 Leopold1 during a night time force protection exercise off the coast of Libanon during UNIFIL.
We were firing on a night time marker with FN FNC, FN Minimi and .50.
